I twittered the following thought and realised that perhaps it might be too cryptic and I need to elaborate on it:
it’s no longer about having more, getting more; it’s about changing the original “program.” Innovation, yes; innovation to sell more? No
The it’s here is referred to the American Dream. I speak often to my students about this, how the dream changed over the years; how, most importantly, the dream hasn’t really changed very much in the last 50 years.
