It looks like the Democrats might recapture the state. All democratic candidates running for office are all in major leads against their republican opponents. In the State Attorney’s race, the one that has been in the news the most, Andrew Cuomo leads by a margin of over 20% against Jeanine Pirro. This race has been in the news, thanks to Pirro’s public relations team who have painted her as scorned wife (yea, that works). In the State Comptroller’s race, though Alan Hevesi has been accused of using state monies for personal use, he still leads against J. Christopher Callaghan by a wide margin, trailing at 27%. As far as the Senate race is concerned, Hillary Clinton is also far ahead of John Spencer and will face him in a debate this weekend. Finally, in the Governor’s Race, the latest poll shows Elliot Spitzer in the lead with 71% to John Faso’s 22% and only 7% of voters seem to be undecided. All I can do at this point is keep my fingers crossed and vote.
