Day 7 – Letting Go
As the first week of this challenge ends, I look forward to the coming week as I move away from lovingkindness for myself and move to lovingkindness for others. I prefer picking the same person for the week. Someone close, someone neutral (think cashier, dry cleaner, the mail delivery person) and/or someone difficult in my life.
I remember when I attended my first meditation teaching with Sharon Salzberg, I remember her saying: “If the difficult person is too challenging return to yourself.” And that is what I’m going to do if I get into trouble.
May you be safe, may you be healthy, may you be happy, may you live with ease.
