I <3 Bill D (aka Dude, Where’s My Geek?!)
My friend and colleague Bill D. is a total nerd like me; but he’s a cool nerd and a helpful one at that. Tomorrow, I’m scheduled to give a workshop on podcasting for teachers. I’m totally psyched about it, mostly because it’s something a little bit different than my usual routine (word, powerpoint, iMovie, photoshop). It also just so happens that a little over a two years ago, I found myself attending a little info session at the Apple Store on podcasting. I find this turn of event rather amusing.
The reason why I [heart] Bill D. is because not only does he put all his agendas online (easily accessed by his co-workers), but because he finds resources that are so right on, like IMSDB. Yes, you guessed it, this is the script version of the coolest movie site ever, IMDB. If you are a film lover like I am, you will love this site!
Can you imagine how much fun my teachers will have tomorrow, when they get to re-enact scenes from Titanic, Goodfellas or American Beauty?!? If we get some good results, and I get their permission, I’ll share some with you.
